Kaplan says her most significant efforts within the field include the life-safety design for the 4.4-million-sq-ft Pentagon renovation project, for which she was the design team's lead fire protection engineer. In 2010, she became account manager for Aon FPE's Nordstrom account, providing fire protection and life-safety oversight for more than 350 existing Nordstrom stores. With more than 11 years of experience, Kaplan currently serves as the director of the firm's Washington, D.C., regional office, where she is responsible for the management and technical oversight of approximately 200 engineering projects each month.

As manager for integrated building solutions for Turner Construction worldwide, Krause is responsible for the implementation, employee training and support of virtual design and construction (VDC) and building information modeling (BIM) both nationally and internationally. He supports Turner's BIM implementation in preconstruction, construction and facilities management. He leads Turner's BIM university, an eight week advanced BIM training program for Turner employees, the first program of its kind in the AEC industry. Krause leads the implementation of VDC and BIM for Turner and supports more than 200 active VDC engineers. His efforts have helped Turner exceed 400 BIM projects with a total value of more than $30 billion.
