Denver architecture firm RNL has appointed John Yonushewski, principal, to the role of chief operating officer and David Carnicelli to studio lead for the firm's private-sector architecture studio. Ian Roth has been promoted to director of building information modeling, and Jeff Anglada has been named director of RNL's Los Angeles office. Merlin Maley has been promoted to associate principal and Western region transit director, and Ken J. Anderson, associate principal, has been elevated to Eastern region transit director. Marc Herndon has also been promoted to associate principal. Dominic Weilminster and Matt Shawaker have been promoted to senior associates, and Leslie Alpert, Matt Duncan, Kevin Keady and Jin Soo Park have been named associates.

Ralph W. Christie Jr., chairman of Merrick & Co., Greenwood Village, Colo., has been selected as the American Council of Engineering Cos. national chairman for the April 2015-April 2016 term. Christie has served as ACEC's national vice chair for two years and chair of the national energy and environmental committee for three years.

The Associated General Contractors of America installed Alan Landes, president and CEO of rail and heavy/highway firm Herzog Contracting Corp., St. Joseph, Mo., as the association's 2014 national president at the AGC Convention in Las Vegas in March.

Denver engineering firm Swanson Rink has promoted Rachel Barrett to vice president of business development. She previously served as the firm's director of business development for six years. She also assumes responsibility for corporate communications, recruiting, retention and employee training.

Dennis Disney joins Adolfson & Peterson Construction, Aurora, Colo., as senior project manager. He has more than 32 years of experience in the Colorado market. Disney is managing an 11-story office project A&P is building in Greenwood Village, south of Denver.

A&P has also hired David Sharrock as senior preconstruction manager. He has more than 18 years of experience. Sharrock's projects range from mid- to high-end hospitality projects, health care and commercial office construction.



CH2M HILL has recently named Greg McIntyre president of its global water market. McIntyre succeeds Bob Bailey, now the president of CH2M HILL's facilities and urban environments market. Bailey will lead the firm's work on holistic urban solutions, sports venues and advanced technology facilities.

John McGee has joined Boulder, Colo.-based engineering firm JVA Inc. as a senior project manager. He works in the firm's environmental department in the Fort Collins office. McGee was previously employed by the city of Loveland for eight years as its water and wastewater treatment manager.

New hires at Greenwood Village, Colo.-based MKK Consulting Engineers Inc. include Andrew Nachtrab, mechanical engineer; David Straight, junior mechanical engineer; Jonathan Sundet, junior electrical engineer; Ryan Whitted, junior mechanical engineer; Lance Faulkner, junior electrical engineer; John McFarlen, junior electrical engineer; and Natalie Giese, mechanical designer.
