Boston-Area Transit Agency Terminates Project Contracts

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority terminated for its convenience contracts for the over-budget Green Line expansion project for principal contractor White-Skanska-Kiewit and project manager HDR/Gilbane. The termination followed consultant reports that suggested the work should be completed under a single design-build contract with a firm fixed price.
