As southern Nevada continues to experience its largest increase in new construction since the Great Recession, Gaines says AB 290, currently in the Nevada Legislature, will result in the creation of a database compiled of OSHA card holders. The database will allow contractors to access and verify that the card holders in the system have received the proper training for the card they are assigned. “This database will give contractors the ability to properly assess whether additional training or refresher training is required,” she says.
