Health Care, Award of Merit: Methodist Midlothian Medical Center

When an accelerated schedule ran into unexpected setbacks, the project team on the Methodist Midlothian Medical Center went to great lengths to make sure construction kept pace with the owner’s expectations.

An extremely wet season resulted in three months of delays, and the team worked with the owner to implement a phased turnover plan to keep the overall schedule intact. 

Another hurdle occurred when the vendor on the center’s fully prefabricated central utility plant ran into significant delays and fell behind schedule. DPR Construction sent personnel to Ohio to supplement the fabricator’s workforce and complete work on time.
