Meta’s Mesa Data Center, being built by DPR Construction, is a greenfield development of a multi-building data center campus that will encompass nearly one million sq ft of data center and admin space. The site will be supported by 100% renewable energy and aims to achieve LEED Gold certification.

DPR Construction Chosen as ENR Southwest’s Contractor of the Year for 2022
The ENR regional editors have selected the Phoenix office of DPR Construction as the 2022 Contractor of the Year in the Southwest region.
DPR specializes in complex and sustainable projects for the advanced technology, life sciences, health care, higher education and commercial markets and employs approximately 9,000 professionals across its family of companies.
The firm’s recent projects across the region include:
- Meta Mesa Data Center – Mesa, Ariz. With more than 2,000 skilled trade workers onsite at peak, the Meta (formerly Facebook) data center campus will include five buildings totaling more than 2.5 million sq ft.
- Banner Desert Medical Center Women’s Tower Expansion – Mesa, Ariz. A 158,000-sq-ft vertical expansion of the Cardon Children’s Hospital to accommodate five additional floors on top of the existing hospital for a relocated and expanded women’s services program.
- Arizona State University Creative Futures Laboratory – Mesa, Ariz. The five-story ASU building includes production studios, a fabrication lab and screening theaters to support programs in digital and sensory technology, experiential design, gaming, media arts, film production and entrepreneurial development.
The firm recently expanded its Tucson office and built a dedicated prefabrication assembly facility to optimize labor and facilitate worker safety.
