Pending state approval of construction, the completed facility will complement and be adjacent to the current 80,000-sq-ft Pope Science Building, creating a single-science complex on the campus of Utah’s newest university. Construction on the proposed new facility is contingent upon approval from the legislature and the governor.

Designed by CSNA Architects of Colorado Springs, the Grizzly Grill’s exterior features stone and wood surfaces to merge architecturally with the adjacent buildings and exhibits. The new facility will provide zoo visitors an expanded dining menu and extended indoor/outdoor seating within a modern facility. The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2010.
