The steady hand of a Salt Lake City construction icon has built Okland Construction into a regional powerhouse.

The 2019 Best Projects award winners highlight a healthy mix of public- and private-sector projects from across the region.

The Noorda Center, a cultural arts landmark for Utah Valley University and the greater Orem community, represents a $50-million investment in concert spaces, classrooms, practice rooms and performance-support areas.

This net-zero-energy fire station is home to 11 firefighters and includes a three-bay apparatus garage and a 50-person multipurpose room. 

The 180,000-sq-ft, five-story facility houses four operating rooms, an emergency department, maternity department, outpatient services and a four-story, 120,000-sq-ft medical office building.

Located on Kaiser Permanente’s 20th Avenue Medical Campus, the Franklin Building has been under renovation for more than two decades.
