It’s no easy task to build a 225,000-sq-ft research building and biotechnology center on a hill with a 20-degree slope and no laydown area while working on a site surrounded by operational medical facilities.

The 240,000-sq-ft St. Alphonsus Medical Center features 72 inpatient beds as well as a 10-bed short-stay unit.

The Wasatch Mental Health facility in Payson, Utah, is the first of its kind in the area, designed to serve the needs of more than 500 of the nearly 10,000 patients helped by Wasatch Mental Health throughout the county each year.

The two-story Boise Fire Station 8 is the city’s newest home for paramedics and firefighters.

The goals for this $4.8-million project were to provide county residents with a broader variety of services.
