The Brigham Young University Center Production Kitchen project remodeled and added to the existing Dairy Products Laboratory on Brigham Young University’s Provo campus. It became the new central production kitchen, providing food service to the entire campus as well as the Missionary Training Center and other clients. Laramie County East High RenovationsSubmitted by Adolfson & Peterson Construction Laramie County East High renovations demolished and remodeled the 270,000-sq-ft building, with the exception of exterior walls and interior corridor walls. It included complete electrical and mechanical system change-outs and demolition and rebuilding of interior walls and finishes. The project also included a playground addition and renovations of the pool, cafeteria, culinary arts area and the gymnasium. The new University of Wyoming’s Information Library and Learning Center project built a 92,765-sq-ft addition to the east of the existing building, which rests between the original Coe Library, the College of Business and is bordered by Ivinson Street along the south and the parking lot for the Student Union along the north. Select Health Valley Center TowersSubmitted by VCBO Architecture This six-story, sustainably designed facility provides administrative spaces for the Select Health arm of Intermountain Healthcare and includes an adjacent five-story parking structure. The overall design for the office spaces is a column-free floor plan that allows a great deal of flexibility for interior spaces as well as improved sightlines. Central Valley at Snake River LandingSubmitted by SRL Development The 30-acre Central Valley at Snake River Landing was formerly an aggregate quarry and batch plant that has been redeveloped as the main stormwater detention and irrigation system for the 450-acre, mixed-use development. In order to generate less waste from the mined-out quarry, SRL Development used what was readily available on site for key features of the Central Valley.
Farmington City Hall Submitted by Hughes General Contractors The Farmington City Hall is a two-story, 19,300-sq-ft, wood-framed building with horizontal shiplap siding and brick veneer. It was constructed with steep-pitched, 55-ft-high roofs as well as a cupola in the center rising 15 ft above the rest of the structure. The firm occupies the entire fourth floor of Salt Lake City’s newest office tower. State of Utah Fifth Judicial District CourthouseSubmitted by Spectrum Engineers The new state courthouse in St. George, Utah, totals 95,550 sq ft. Designed with eight courtrooms, five standard district courtrooms, one large district courtroom and two juvenile courtrooms, and the ability to expand to 16 in the future, the courthouse incorporates advanced security and technology features appropriate for current justice activities.
