Gold Hard Hat Award Aromor Apartments Submitted by Buchanan Yonushewski Group Aromor Apartment building, originally built in 1928 and a historic Denver landmark, has been renovated into a living facility for the city’s less fortunate. The newly renovated building contains 66 single-room occupancy apartments and social-services facilities for support of the residents, including a computer lab, visiting physicians’ office, social workers’ offices conference and meeting rooms and a separate office facility. A geothermal heat pump heats and cools the library while an array of solar panels on the south-facing roof can be gradually expanded through the years.
