ENR MidAtlantic is pleased to announce Irvin E. Richter as the 2016 Legacy Award winner. The award is given annually to an individual in the region to someone who has established a solid “legacy” of lifetime service to the construction industry, their colleagues and to their community. ENR MidAtlantic includes Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia.
A panel of safety experts has chosen the winners of ENR MidAtlantics Excellence in Safety award, part of the Best Projects 2016 competition that will be profiled in more depth in the October issue of ENR MidAtlantic, and presented at an awards banquets on Nov. 1 in Baltimore.
With the main category judging for ENR MidAtlantic’s Best Projects 2016 completed, we are thrilled to announce the majority of the winners. The Safety Award of Excellence, which is juried by a separate group of safety experts, will be announced at a later date
ENR MidAtlantic seeks nominations for its Legacy Award. The Legacy Award is given annually by ENR regional editors to an individual in their regions who has achieved a lifetime legacy of service, both to the AEC profession and the community.
ENR Mid-Atlantic recently launched its annual Top 20 Under 40 contest. Top 20 Under 40 recognizes the A/E/C industry's young professionals who represent the "Best-of-the-Best" in their construction and design careers by giving back to their industry and communities.
The top 10 firms in the ENR MidAtlantic Top Contractor rankings nearly surpassed pre-recession levels in 2015, raising a combined $10.33 billion, up from $9.9 billion in 2014 and $9 billion in 2013. In 2008, the top 10 contractors collected a total of $10.7 billion.
The June 20 issue of ENR MidAtlantic will feature the annual ranking of Top Design Firms. Preliminary analysis shows continued revenue strength among architects and engineers in the MidAtlantic region.
