A quick look at the 73 firms that participated in ENR New York’s Top Contractor Survey this year reveals some interesting facts, including that several firms grew their year-over-year regional revenue by around $100 million. The aggregated regional revenue for the top-five firms on this year’s list neared $9 billion, compared with $8 billion for the top five last year.
Others on the list, which is a preliminary ranking of participants by their 2013 regional revenue, either grew more moderately or reported losses. The list itself also is a bit bigger than last year when only 65 firms participated, which was up from 50 firms in 2012.
But like last year, there is a wide gap between the largest participants in terms of revenue (more than $2 billion) and the smallest (under $7 million).
More details on these firms along with their largest projects to break ground in 2013 will be revealed in our July 14 issue.
While we’re in the process of finalizing details of the ranking, the following is an alphabetical list of firms that participated this year.
