While ENR Southwest's annual Top Specialty Contractors survey remains open until August 7, we're happy to announce that our editors have chosen Las Vegas-based Commercial Roofers Inc. as the 2023 Southwest Specialty Contractor of the Year.
As with all of the "Firms of the Year" that ENR Southwest recognizes each year—including Owner, Design Firm and Contractor—selection of 2023's Specialty Contractor of the Year included consideration of the firm's business performance over the past year, as well as other factors, such as project safety performance, new and recent contracts, commitment to employees and community involvement, among others.
Commercial Roofers' business performance during 2022 was certainly strong, with the firm reporting nearly $56 million in revenue from the Southwest region of Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. That's a nearly 82% jump over the firm's 2021 regional revenue total of nearly $30.8 million. Helping boost Commercial Roofers' 2022 revenue was its $2.7-million contract on the IMC World Market Center Building A in Las Vegas, which completed construction last year.
Safety is a top priority for the company of 250+ employees, which touts an EMR rating of 0.65 EMR rating. Additionally, Commercial Roofers Inc. was recognized as Nevada Contractors Association (AGC) Subcontractor of the Year for 2022. And earlier this year, the firm became officially certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE).
ENR Southwest will have many more insights about Commercial Roofers Inc. when we profile the company in our upcoming Sept. 4 print edition.
