Boston-based Suffolk Construction has been selected as construction manager for development of GE’s $200 million global headquarters, the publicly traded company announced on Dec. 16.

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority is hiring a construction manager to administer the long-delayed $2.3 billion Green Line Extension project, according to an MBTA press release.   

ENR New England has extended the deadline to submit to this year's Top Young Proffessionals competition. The new deadline is Oct. 31. 

ENR New England is pleased to announce Carl Sciple as the 2016 Legacy Award winner. The award is given annually to an individual in the region who has established a solid “legacy” of lifetime service to the construction industry, their colleagues and to their community. ENR New England covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. 

Suffolk Construction Co. held a "virtual" groundbreaking for its 38,000 sq-ft addition to its Boston headquarters on Thursday. During the ceremony, city officials and executives from Suffolk donned virtually reality headsets to view and animation of the groundbreaking as well as a virtual model rendering of the project being erected.

With the main category judging for ENR New England’s Best Projects 2016 completed, we are thrilled to announce the majority of the winners. The Safety Award of Excellence, which is juried by a separate safety expert, will be announced at a later date. The winners listed below will be profiled in depth in the Nov. 28/Dec. 5 issue of ENR New England, and at an awards breakfast on Dec. 8 at the Hyatt Regency Boston.
