Firms nominated for Contractor of the Year honors are voted on by ENR regional editors based on information provided in the year's Top Contractors ranking survey.

Early results show that revenues last year for the region’s infrastructure contractors were up in most areas, especially for firms located in Salt Lake City, Boise and Denver.

Design Firms of the Year are chosen by a vote of the regional ENR editors from across the country based on a carefully selected group of finalists.

Despite the pandemic, design revenues remained mostly steady across the region in 2020, although the full impact of the pandemic on future design and construction remains uncertain.

The full list of rankings, based on self-reported revenues from firms that completed our online survey, will appear in the December issue of ENR Mountain States.

Our six Project of the Year finalists represent a broad spectrum of work, from higher education to airports and renovations.

Our safety judges noted that many firms improved not only their safety records but also their approaches to safety and their safety cultures.

A panel of 11 judges from all areas of the industry selected winners and merit awards from the 138 total entries in the Mountain States region this year.
