Daniel Doherty is Manager of Integrated Construction Technology (ICT) at PCL Construction, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He directs a team of technical experts that supports operational processes with technology adoption and continuous improvement. Throughout his 20 years in design and construction, Daniel's goal has always been to create a more sustainable building lifecycle. He believes the AEC industry's stubborn productivity challenges are a residual consequence of archaic delivery processes, and that available technical solutions are suppressed by communication silos. His focus is on restructuring the value chain to eliminate waste, leverage technology and add value. Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in Technology Management, is a certified engineering technologist (CET) and holds both CM BIM and CM-Lean designations. Daniel also sits on the board of directors of Building Transformations (formerly CanBIM), which bills itself as North America's Largest Building Technology & Innovation Community.
