Angelo Corva CEO
Angelo F. Corva & Associates"The region has generally been up and down," Corva says. "We don't see any solidification or positive growth. It has been erratic." Municipal work has been steady, but private work and start-ups have been slow, hampered by the lack of available money and a reluctance of owners to make a decision, he points out. The bright spots in the region have been municipal work—mostly alterations and upgrades—and the high-end residential market, which has bolstered New York City. High-end residential is also active on Long Island, particularly on the North Shore, Corva says.
