Associated Builders and Contractors, Gulf Coast Chapter
There's growing optimism about Tampa Bay's construction economy, says Cona. "There are so many projects in the pipeline that were not there a year ago," he says. "We believe fourth quarter 2014 and first quarter 2015 will see a big increase in private-sector commercial construction."Cona adds that local contractors are "excited" about a coming overhaul of Tampa International Airport and Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik's plans to redevelop the Channelside area.
