Until recently, residential construction—and a couple of stadium projects—has been the main source fueling much of Atlanta's construction activity. But that's changing, according to Kaufman, who says, "we're pricing a lot of office buildings" right now.
While corporate relocations—such as ones by Mercedes-Benz and NCR Corp.—are affecting the market, Kaufman sees a decline in office vacancy rates causing developers to "get back in the game.""The office market coming back will be quite a change for the Atlanta economy," he says.
