Associated Builders and Contractors "Although the construction community ... is seeing signs that conditions are improving, backlog is still a problem for our contractors," Rivera-Wiest says. "In addition, because most of the jobs are in the public works arena, we are seeing a number of contractors hurting the overall marketplace by taking work too cheaply." She adds that the governor "will be proposing some economic development initiatives at the legislative session, which, if passed, should result in infrastructure projects."
