Barbara Anderson, senior architect with St. Louis-based engineer-architect Oates Associates, has been elected chair of the advocacy committee for the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition to promoting LEED certification and the benefits of sustainable buildings, she is overseeing Green Homes, which advances green homebuilding. She is also overseeing government advocacy subcommittees that encourage local and state governments to adopt green building initiatives.
