Carolynn Gellings currently is managing Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation's $172.2-million I-794/Hoan Bridge project in downtown Milwaukee, a rebuild involving more than 1,000 engineers, contractors and craftsmen. She has spoken at numerous conferences about innovative methods and technologies deployed for the Hoan project, including movable concrete barriers, stainless-steel rebar and replacement of steel shiplap joints at heights of 120 ft above grade. As a member of Engineers without Borders, she mentored a senior design group at Milwaukee's Marquette University last year and is traveling with them this winter to assist in construction of a bridge they designed for a Guatemalan community. Gellings is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and a founding member of Transportation and Development Institute's Wisconsin Chapter.

Brad Hardin has worked as a LEED-accredited architect, a construction manager and integrator of technologies, both nationally and internationally. He currently is responsible for aligning technology and business strategy for Black & Veatch by integrating system components with company products and services. He also is charged with developing and directing new technological initiatives in support of company operations. Hardin is actively engaged in the American Cancer Society and has served as guest lecturer at University of Southern California in Los Angeles and California's Stanford University. He also has spoken and presented for American Institute of Architects and Associated General Contractors of America.

As a graduate assistant, architect Brandon Hoopingarner traveled to 23 countries and 56 cities to evaluate the methods by which cultures define relationships between communities and the built environment, an experience that gained him a global perspective that informs his work in Indianapolis. At age 27, Hoopingarner represented architect-engineer American Structurepoint in an international design competition, presenting the winning concept for redevelopment of Marbella Resort in the United Arab Emirates. His win opened doors. Hoopingarner currently is involved in a competition for a office complex in Dubai. Closer to home, he has instructed high school students at an architecture camp sponsored by Indianapolis Art Center.

As founder and creative director for design collective Hufft Projects, architect Matthew Hufft leads a diverse team of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, wood craftsmen, metal craftsmen, industrial designers, construction managers, builders, digital fabricators, accountants, administrators and artists. As Hufft intended, firm staffing promotes integration from concept to finished product, an approach he believes is vital to successful completion of projects. His firm has performed pro-bono design work for Kansas City's Folly Theater, Roanoke Park Conservancy and Children's Center for the Visually Impaired. Hufft is actively involved with American Institute of Architects and Urban Land Institute.
