Philip Houser has joined Chicago-based engineer Alfred Benesch & Co. as director of quality management. He previously was with engineer-architect Farnsworth Group Inc. In his new role, Houser is overseeing implementation of Benesch's expanded quality management system.

 

 

 

Werneke

Jennifer M. Werneke has joined Rosemont, Ill.-based contractor McShane Cos. as vice president of human capital. Werneke will engage in activities involving recruitment and talent management.

Sam Filisko has been promoted to vice president with Hillside, Ill.-based engineer Professional Service Industries Inc., a firm specializing in environmental services, geotechnical engineering and construction materials, among other disciplines. Filisko, who joined PSI in 2008, previously served as district manager with the firm.

Kent Nepras has joined Skokie, Ill.-based contractor I.M. Construction Group as project manager. A 17-year industry veteran, Nepras most recently served as project manager with Sevan Multi-Site Solutions, a Downers Grove, Ill.-based construction program manager. He has extensive experience in several sectors, including office, industrial, retail and health care.

 

Larsen

Paul C. Larsen has rejoined Plymouth, Mich.-based geosciences, materials and environmental firm SME as regional vice president with its Indianapolis and Cincinnati offices. Larsen previously led operations for infrastructure and environmental engineer NTH Consultants.

Joe Taylor has joined the Chicago office of developer, designer and builder Opus Group as director of real estate. In his new position, Taylor is overseeing residential and student housing developments in Chicago and greater Midwest markets. He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council and Urban Land Institute and is a LEED Green Associate.
