Envisioned as a community center offering wholesome entertainment and recreational opportunities, the two-story, 112,000-sq-ft Riverside EpiCenter in Austell, Ga., features a 600-seat auditorium, conference center, 24,000-sq-ft fitness center, recording studio and two-story entertainment center. The project featured numerous unusual finishes, including metal panel skin, terrazzo flooring, Venetian plaster and real wood veneer wall coverings. Sustainable elements include marble plaster walls, terrazzo flooring made from locally available marble chips and low-VOC paints and carpets.
