Award of Merit - Health Care
The $127-million Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center is a 467,000-sq-ft outpatient cancer-treatment facility connected by sky bridge to the inpatient areas of the Baylor University Medical Center campus and two parking garages. The structure received LEED-Gold certification.
The 10-story building features a curtain wall facade of glass-fiber reinforced concrete, stone, glass and metal panels.
MEDCO Construction, Dallas, delivered the project ahead of schedule in February 2011.
