Robins & Morton completed the 623,260-sq-ft University Medical Center of El Paso, the only nonprofit, community-owned hospital in the area, in June 2012.
Work included the renovation of an existing 60-year-old hospital as well as the construction of two new major additions, including the 224,000-sq-ft women and children’s hospital in a new 11-story tower.
MMC Contractors performed mechanical pre- construction for the new facility.
The $195 million project began in March 2007, and careful planning kept the hospital operating during the entire construction process.
