Automated Grading System: Speeds Up Operations The Topcon 3D-MC² for Graders allows a motor grader’s control system to detect changes in blade position and make corrections up to 100 times per second. According to the manufacturer, the system allows graders to work at higher speeds than other 3D machines, greatly increasing productivity. The 3D-MC� can be integrated with Topcon’s slope sensor to maintain slope accuracy. Tier 4 Compliance: Powerful Engine Meets Regulations John Deere Power Systems’ PowerTech PSX 13.5-liter diesel engine has been certified as compliant with EPA Interim Tier 4 emissions regulations. All of the JDPS engines above 174 hp are now EPA- certified. The engine employs cooled exhaust gas recirculation for NOx control and an added exhaust filter to reduce particulate matter. The engine also features full-authority electronic controls, a four-valve cylinder head, a high-pressure fuel system, series turbocharging and an air-to-air after-cooling system.
