Who are the design and construction leaders of tomorrow? That’s the question behind ENR’s annual “Top 20 Under 40” program—and the question that we’re asking readers to help answer!
ENR and its regional editions are announcing the 2012 “Top 20 Under 40” competition. The competition received outstanding feedback from readers when it launched this past January. Region by region, ENR now is accepting nominations from design and construction firms across the country about their best and brightest young leaders for the 2012 competition.
“Don’t forget! You don’t have to wait for your boss to put your name in the competition. It’s perfectly fine for young professionals to nominate themselves or their colleagues,” says Janice Tuchman, ENR editor-in-chief. “We hope to identify and recognize the next generation of construction leadership.”
In January and February 2012, each of ENR’s regional editions will highlight their respective regions’ top 20 individuals under the age of 40 who have already demonstrated leadership in their careers and also have given back to the industry. The criteria encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds as well as those who have achieved industry certifications, industry involvement, community service and contributions to landmark or sustainable projects.
An independent panel of judges from the region will select winners. To be eligible, nominees must be working within the coverage area of one of the regional editions. Also, candidates must be no older than 39 by the publication date of each regional edition.
