Panduit recently opened a new world headquarters building in Tinley Park, Ill. The building is the realization of the Panduit Unified Physical InfrastructureSM (UPI) Vision and serves as a blueprint for the “building of the future.”
The World Headquarters Building provides state-of-the-art visibility and control into all critical building systems, integrated and aligned under a single, unified, intelligent infrastructure. Designed to maximize sustainability, global collaboration and innovation, the WHQ will initially serve 800 employees and will be able to accommodate an additional 800.
The five-story building comprises 280,000 sq ft of office, conferencing and training space and will enable collaboration through unique design features including open office concepts, shared work spaces and the deployment of the latest technologies to connect internal and external employee, partners and customers.
Panduit will benefit from and demonstrate its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability objectives by achieving Gold level certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Program.
Panduit has partnered with leading global design, planning and strategic consulting firm Gensler, along with national engineering and construction firms Affiliated Engineers Inc. and Power Construction, to bring the project to fruition.
