Hill Mechanical Group and Ahern Fire Protection’s Chicago office have entered into a jointly owned partnership to provide fire protection services to the greater Chicago area under the name of Hill/Ahern Fire Protection.

The agreement leverages Ahern’s fire protection experience with Hill’s market presence.

Hill/Ahern Fire Protection’s daily operations will be led by Ahern’s current Chicago staff, which has relocated to Hill’s Franklin Park facility. The company’s management team includes current Ahern District Manager Tim Turbak, Ahern Fire Protection Executive Vice President Ken Collins and Hill Mechanical Vice President Jim Hill.

“Partnering the largest mechanical contractor in Chicago with the largest fire protection contractor in the Midwest promises significant, mutually beneficial opportunities,” Collins says.
