Miron Construction Co. Inc. of Neenah, Wis., recently broke ground on three non-profit facilities in Northeast Wisconsin.
The contractor will be donating a variety of construction services and in-kind work on the projects. Each year, Miron donates nearly $750,000 to community organizations and projects.
The groundbreaking for the CHAPS (Children with Horses Achieving Productivity and Success) Academy was held May 24. The new facility will house an equine arena and creative counseling center.
On May 25, the Fox Valley Warming Shelter broke ground on the new 5,000-sq-ft, $560,000 facility. Miron is completing construction at cost for the client.
The new shelter will allow for extended hours of service. On-site shower and laundry facilities will further assist the Fox Valley Warming Shelter in treating its clients.
The warming shelter provides immediate basic needs and support, as well as referrals to other community services, to give clients the opportunity to get back on their feet.
The new Community Shelter in Green Bay, Wis., broke ground on May 24. The $2.9 million expansion will help better serve adults experiencing homelessness as well as those people in the community in need of a meal. For this project, Miron is donating its construction management fees.
