The DeKalb facility will have convenient access to air transportation for people and cargo. O’Hare International Airport is 60 mi northeast; General Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee is 132 mi southeast; the Rockford UPS air hub is 40 mi to the north at Chicago/Rockford International Airport; and DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport is only 2 mi to the south.

The project is located on a 49-acre site in DeKalb’s Park 88 Commercial Logistics Park and will feature 23,000 sq ft of office space.

The facility is designed to house two dock offices totaling more than 1,500 sq ft, as well as a mezzanine area. The site will also include 70 loading dock positions and 400 trailer parking spaces for increased efficiencies in distribution processes.

Construction is expected to be complete in April 2011.
