Graycor Industrial Constructors Inc., the industrial construction subsidiary of North American contractor Graycor, and Graycor Blasting Co. Inc., the industrial services subsidiary of Graycor, have selected Portage, Ind., as the site of their new northwest Indiana operations center.
With occupancy planned for summer 2011, the facility will offer 44,000 sq ft of office and operations support space on approximately 10 acres of land in the Ameriplex at the Port business park.
The decision comes shortly after Graycor announced plans to relocate its Illinois offices to Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.
Graycor has evolved from its founding in 1921 as a maintenance and demolition contractor to a fully integrated provider of construction, maintenance and related services, working across the U.S. and internationally for a broad range of clients in various industries.
Graycor Industrial has many long-term clients in northwest Indiana within the metals, power and process markets.
“We have a rich history in northwest Indiana with many long-term clients, some of which go back to our founding in the 1920s,” says Brad Teckenbrock, president, Graycor Industrial.
“The Northwest Indiana operations center’s proximity to key resources and business partners will help us continue to offer quality services as we broaden in scope and geography,” says Tom Muchesko, senior vice president, Graycor Industrial.
