The Illinois Department of Transportation selected the Hanson-Parsons Joint Venture to perform an environmental impact statement for the St. Louis to Chicago high-speed rail corridor.

The joint venture combines the resources of Hanson Professional Services Inc. with Parsons Transportation Group Inc.

The Tier 1 EIS will address environmental needs for double-tracking rail lines between St. Louis and Chicago for 110 mph high-speed rail service.

Hanson is a national, employee-owned consulting firm providing engineering, architecture, planning and allied services. The company provides services from seven strategic markets, including aviation, military, energy and industry, government, infrastructure, railway and telecommunications.

Parsons delivers design/design-build, program and construction management, professional services and alternative delivery solutions to private industrial customers worldwide, as well as federal, regional and local government agencies.
