Clarian announced in late 2009 that construction had resumed on the first acute care hospital in Fishers, Ind., Clarian Saxony Medical Center.
In February 2009, Clarian had announced that construction of the hospital would be delayed in response to deteriorating economic conditions.
Clarian Saxony Medical Center will be built in phases, initially bringing primary care, surgical, cardiovascular, sports medicine, imaging, chest pain and urgent care services, and a sleep center to the town of Fishers.
The 44-bed, acute care hospital will be approximately 200,000 sq ft and the medical office building will be approximately 100,000 sq ft.
Clarian has a wonderful reputation for delivering high-quality care and being a committed community leader across Indiana, said Stuart Easley, Fishers Town councilman. We couldnt be more pleased with Clarians commitment to the Fishers community, which is clearly demonstrated by it moving forward with the development of Clarian Saxony Medical Center. This will serve as an anchor in this important economic development.
The hospital is expected to be complete by late 2011. Once complete, Clarian Saxony Medical Center will be the first and only hospital in Fishers.
