Madsen says the school has continued to function throughout the project.
“The new addition and the mechanical, electrical and architectural upgrades in the original structures will extend the life of the building 100 years,” he adds.
The new 340,000-sq-ft Ben Lomond High School also has all the latest technology, including interactive SMART Boards, security cameras, electronic controls on all the doors and daylighting throughout the entire building.
The windows that provide the natural light also provide spectacular views to the north of Mount Ben Lomond, for which the school is named.
