The Crow Indian Reservation experienced record flooding in May and June 2011. This flooding caused extensive damage to homes, businesses and the infrastructure throughout the reservation, resulting in a federal disaster declaration for the reservation. DOWL HKM was retained to provide investigations, design, construction administration and overall coordination of the repairs. COP Construction was selected to provide consultation during design and complete the construction. The project team worked collaboratively to establish rapid and economical solutions to repairing the irrigation system and restoring service.

BLM Geographic Coordinate Data Base

Morrison-Maierle Inc.

Morrison-Maierle assisted Premier Data Services in the development of the technical procedures for corner collection. These procedures became the standard for all of the states surveyed. In Montana, Morrison-Maierle’s survey crews prepared in advance for their fieldwork with thorough research and located monuments over 100 years old. While the project is ongoing in other states, Montana’s accurate township database is available online and will aid in the development of renewable energy within the national system of public lands.
