The Abo Group Inc. and B+Y Architects PC, both of Denver, have merged, effective February 27, to provide expanded architectural design, planning and project management services.
For over 30 years, The Abo Group has focused on a broad range of public and commercial work, with clients that include Denver International Airport, the city of Denver, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
“With our recent award of the DIA South Terminal Construction Management contract, The Abo Group needs additional resources to continue to provide a high level of service to our clients,” said Ron Abo, president, The Abo Group. “B+Y offers cutting-edge design, sound sustainable practices, and strong building information modeling capabilities.”
Having established a reputation for being design savvy in low- and high- density housing and having long-term relationships with many developers and planners, B+Y has recently broadened its experience by designing an addition for the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum and completing a LEED-Platinum project for the Denver Housing Authority.
“Leveraging our individual talents with a shared commitment to sustainability enhances our ability to create meaningful spaces and will take our clients in exciting new directions,” says B+Y’s President Kevin Yoshida.
Abo and Yoshida recognize that the practice of architecture is evolving, and they envision integrating their energies to become thought leaders in architecture, community planning, sustainable design, and project delivery.
“The synergy between our two firms will increase our ability to service our client’s needs and desires through diverse architectural experience and innovative design,” Yoshida said.
The firms, operating both independently and collaboratively, will collocate at 12600 West Colfax Ave., Suite C-200, Lakewood, 80215, in an office building certified LEED for Existing Buildings.
