The American Institute of Architects Colorado North chapter recognized its 2013 architectural design and honor award recipients on Nov. 1 during a presentation at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in Boulder.
The following three architectural design awards were selected from 24 entries submitted by members of AIA Colorado North. The awards were presented by Jury Chair Jeffrey L. Day of Min | Day, Omaha, Neb. (Note: Honor awards are the highest achievement, followed by merit, then citation.)
Honor Award for Residential: Large

In addition to the design awards, seven honor awards were presented by the AIA Colorado North Board of Directors’ Executive Committee.
Firm of the Year
HMH Architecture + Interiors, Boulder
This award recognizes an AIA-member firm that has contributed to the profession and has set an example in design, service and leadership to AIA Colorado North.
Twenty-Five Year Award
Architectural Office of Roger Easton, Boulder
This award recognizes a project completed in the AIA Colorado North area at least 25 years ago that has withstood the “test of time” and still functions in its original capacity.
Architect of the Year
Ken Field, RB+B Architects Inc.
This award recognizes a licensed architect who has contributed to the profession and set an example in design, service and leadership to AIA Colorado North.
