The 150,000-sq-ft L.S. Skaggs Pharmacy Institute was built to encourage creativity and spur major breakthroughs in research. Slated for LEED-Gold certification, this new building on the University of Utah campus has five floors, underground parking, research labs and conference rooms. Research spaces were built for maximum flexibility, efficiency and collaboration. A spacious four-story atrium serves as the building entry and connects the new institute with L.S. Skaggs Sr. Hall. The atrium also provides cafe and small lounge areas for faculty and students to discuss their research. The facility features an amphitheater for presentations and college events.
