An exhibition of photographs, models, video and memorabilia will highlight the accomplishments of the contractors who made Houston what it is today.
“Behind the Building: Houston Monuments and the People who Built Them, 1923-2000” will run through Jan. 5 at the Architecture Center Houston, 315 Capitol. The exhibit is organized and presented by the Associated General Contractors History Project to celebrate the work of Houston builders. The exhibit features 50 building projects covering 75 years that put Houston in the spotlight, including the Astrodome, the first domed sports arena copied in major cities across the U.S.
