Dave Love, president and CEO of New Star General Contractors, has pioneered a fundraising campaign to benefit Peace House, a Park City nonprofit committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence.
With the help of local subcontractors, suppliers and professionals, New Star General Contractors has raised substantial funds already given to Peace House, and additional contributions are being sought to support the organization’s daily operations and long-term development.
In response to economic trends, Peace House cut its budget by 20%, threatening to reduce crucial services it typically provides for women and children of domestic violence. The need for Peace House services, however, has increased 400% over the past 10 years. As a result of Love’s recent fundraising efforts, Peace House has reclaimed 18% of its budget loss, allowing the nonprofit to meet the needs of the local community. Financial supporters of Peace House include:
