A network of construction research institutions in 19 European countries is evaluating the industry in Eastern Europe and is producing electronic, English-language versions of its findings.
A study of Russian construction and its outlook through 2005 is the latest report. It was compiled by Budapest-based Build & Econ, the Hungarian partner of Euroconstruct, the research network. Studies of the Romanian and Ukrainian construction markets are also available at www.euroconstruct.com. Each costs $500.
In printed form, the 70-page Russian study covers, among other things, demographic and economic trends and prospects; the outlook for the housing, commercial and civil engineering sectors and current and planned major domestic and foreign investments. It also lists the major Russian construction and engineering firms, building materials manufacturers, suppliers and pertinent government authorities.
The reports are available in printed form, on CDs or as downloadable PDF files.
