Manufacturer of underground construction equipment introduces a new versatile landscape rake that attaches to all standard mini skid steers and is available for the Bobcat MT50. This attachment can be used to fill, mix, grade, clean pulverize and spread materials. The soil prep tines allow surface preparation to a depth of 1 1/2 in., the maker says. Skid-steer loaders SK818-5 and SK820-5 have been upgraded with Tier 2-compliant engines. The SSL line, which currently consists of five models, meets Tier 2 EPA emissions regulations. They range from 47 to 83 hp (turbocharged) with operating capacities reaching 2,200 lb. Skid steers SK818-5 and SK820-5 are the first two units to feature a vertical lift loader arm designed to keep the load steady through the lifting cycle. Manufacturer introduces redesigned remote controls for its BPH80/65S reversible plate and BMP851 multipurpose compactors. Built to enhance operator comfort, the new lightweight models weigh only 3.5 lb compared to the previous 6-lb design. The controls are secured to the operator using a waist belt, an improvement over previous neck-strap harnesses, the maker says. The new units are constructed with heavy-duty, impact-resistant composite plastic and include extra-capacity batteries that now offer up to 100 hours of operation on a single charge.
