A new 6-in. right angle grinder, model 6160-20, is equipped with a 1.9-maximum horsepower, 11.0 amp motor. It weighs 6.6 lb and is designed for use by mechanical contractors, boilermakers, pipe/steam fitters, welders and metal fabricators and general and heavy contractors. The tool features a tachometer feedback that provides constant speed and power under load to optimize cutting and grinding. It also has a paddle-style switch that provides comfort and operator control. Manufacturer introduces a new version of its SiteVision GPS system. Version 5.5 uses GPS and a solid state angle sensor for performing side-to-side tilt measurement of an excavator tilt-bucket attachment. The SiteVision tilt-bucket feature allows the contractor to use a tilt-bucket attachment on an excavator when working on jobs involving digging to a sloped plane perpendicular to the booms axis, such as trenches with sloped walls. The new DuoScreed features an integrated lifting bar that is now part of the control handle. The units vibratory action embeds aggregate and reduces air voids producing a dense slab. The DuoScreeds advanced blade, which reverses in seconds without tools, allows one side to be used for standard form-to-form screeding while the other is utilized for wet screeding. Blades are available in widths up to 20 ft. The Versa Volt Cordless LED flashlight can be used to illuminate nearly any working environment. Similar to a lighthouse beacon, model CTLED918, has an innovative design that groups three LEDs together and multiplies light output for a maximum illumination. The LED bulbs last up to 10,000 working hours and extend battery life by drawing minimal current. A new product has been developed to help eliminate most of the sawdust created by table saws. The Dust Cutter, a high-quality fabric bag, fastens to the bottom of most table saws having base dimensions up to 20-in. wide and 17-in. deep. It also includes three different operating modes that allow the operator to collect dust, funnel dust into a container or extract dust using a shop vacuum. Designed primarily for slope work and fine grading applications, the new D21A-8 and D21P-8 crawler dozers feature hydroshift drive transmissions and powerful, fuel-efficient Tier 2 emission certified Komatsu 4D94LE-2 engines. The lightweight, compact design of both machines allows contractors to use the same trailer used for skid steers while still remaining below weight limits that would require drivers to obtain a CDL.
