New hydraulic models, the PC18MR-2 and PC 20MR-2, are added to the MR-series of compact excavators. Both units feature automatic two-speed travel that automatically shifts from high to low speed based on the load. Due to the new certified two-post ROPS structure on the models, the operator can now enter and exit the machine from both sides. Also included is a neutral engine start system to help eliminate accidents caused by sudden movement of the upper structure at start-up. The new W2000 Combo Cutter allows the operator to change drum widths easily from 24 to 36 to 48 in. width. It uses the Wirtgen Type III quick change tooth holder system and has a segmented rear moldboard with independent control and a side-shifted material discharge conveyor that helps maximize material flow. The machine has a 535-hp engine and will cut from 0 to 12 in. deep. Model DD-112HF is a high-frequency compactor. It has been engineered to follow pavers moving at faster lay-down speeds while providing appropriate drum impact spacing. This is achieved with a large drum diameter and a vibration of 4,200 vpm, claims the manufacturer. Drums on the DD-112HF feature exclusive chamfered, radiused edges that prevent drum marking and maintain smooth surfaces as the roller makes its passes. Manufacturer introduces the new 730 Ejector articulated truck. It uses a self-cleaning ejector mechanism that allows material to be spread and dumped on the go, without raising the body. Because its body is not raised, the Ejector truck can work efficiently on sites where stability issues or overhead obstacles limit the use of conventional dump trucks. Rated at 31 tons payload, the 730 Ejector features the Cat C11 engine with ACERT technology. This helps to optimize performance while meeting EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIa exhaust emissions regulations. New excavator models 503Z, 603, 753Z and 803 are available in zero-tail-swing and short-tail-swing units. These 5, 6, 7 and 8-metric-ton class machines are equipped with Yanmar TNV Series Tier II diesel engines that range from 47 to 69 gross hp and are completely isolated from the operators compartment. The new models also feature larger, more comfortable cabs.
