Cement Patching: Works in Wide Temperature Range

Dura-Plate 2300 is a cementitious resurfacer for patching and filling voids in concrete and masonry structures. The coating consists of portland cement, hydrophobic thixotropes, fiber reinforcement, graded silica sand and other aggregates. Mixed from a three-component package, it is dry to the touch after three to four hours. The compound can be applied by trowel or by spray in temperatures as low as 40°F, with no need for additional heating. Sherwin-Williams; www.sherwin-williams.com

Thermal imager: Dual Lasers Improve Response

The M12 7.8KP Thermal Imager boasts an 83:1 distance-to-spot performance ratio, with dual-laser sensors to reduce blurring of hot and cold border areas on the display. It has a temperature-sensing range of 14°F to 626°F and features a 2.4-in. screen. The thermal imager’s rugged casing allows it to survive a 6-ft drop, and it has a battery life of 10 hours. The onboard 8-GB SD card stores temperature data as well as thermal images in PNG format. A Micro USB port allows for easy downloading to a laptop. Milwaukee Tool; www.milwaukeetool.com

Wheel Loaders: Power-Split Transmissions

Liebherr’s XPower Wheel Loaders feature redesigned, power-split transmissions that use both a hydrostatic drive and a mechanical drive to perform well under different conditions. This drivetrain option is standard and can result in fuel savings, since the machine can adjust to demand. There are five models in the XPower series, with operating weights ranging from 39,000 lb to 72,000 lb. All the wheel loaders have Tier 4 Final engines that use selective-catalytic reduction to meet emissions standards. The Z-bar linkage for the wheel loaders has been reinforced, resulting in a 20% improvement in breakout forces compared to earlier Liebherr wheel loaders. Liebherr; www.liebherr.us
