Capodanno sees a steady stream of multi-unit residential projects moving ahead along Wilmington’s waterfront.

Although commercial construction activity in downtown Wilmington has been relatively quiet, Capodanno says that contractors are eagerly eyeing the potential sale of the Hotel DuPont. “If that gets sold, that could result in significant renovation opportunities for contractors,” he says.

Contractors are also monitoring next year’s mayoral election and the impact it could have on future development in the city.
