PM Environmental has hired Bob Drake as senior consultant and regional manager of its Scottsdale, Ariz., operations. Drake has more than 30 years of experience in various areas of the environmental sector including environmental chemistry, waste treatment and remediation compliance. Prior to his new position, Drake owned Western States Environmental, a client-based consulting firm.
Nadel has hired Andrew Simmons as director of the hospitality studio in Las Vegas. Simmons has more than 20 years of experience within hospitality design and development and has worked for eight years in the Las Vegas market. Simmons’ prior work in Las Vegas includes the renovation of the Sahara Hotel and Casino into the SLS and the MGM Park and Arena Plaza.
Mark Tiscornia has joined HDR’s Phoenix office as a health care principal. After working in San Francisco for 10 years, Tiscornia will be returning to Phoenix and will focus on business development, strategic planning and execution of complex health projects. Tiscornia specializes in health care design. His work has ranged from very small projects to the $1-billion Stanford University Children’s Hospital Expansion.
Angela Watson, a principal and design leader at Shepley Bulfinch, has relocated to the firm’s Phoenix office. Her work will include leading the design and delivery of Banner Health’s new clinical tower project in Tucson, now in design. She will also be tasked with broadening the firm’s presence in the Southwest.
McCarthy Southwest has promoted Daniel Ward to project director for the infrastructure team from project manager. Ward’s focus will be on developing and leading internal and external teams from a project’s start to ensure a successful integrated approach throughout all phases. Ward has been with McCarthy for 10 years. He currently oversees the $137-million Ocotillo Water Reclamation Facility expansion and improvement project for the city of Chandler, Ariz.
The Weitz Co. has appointed Chris Harrison as executive vice president and general manager of the Phoenix office. Harrison has been with the firm for 28 years. Prior to his promotion, he led the growth of the firm’s Nebraska office for three years and led the business development and preconstruction efforts in the Iowa office for 10 years.
Jerry Sanchez has been promoted to Rio Rancho, N.M., area manager at J.B. Henderson Construction Co. Sanchez, a 25-year industry veteran, has served as an estimator, project manager and general foreman. Sanchez will be accountable for the direction, leadership and oversight of the Rio Rancho office.
Littlejohn Engineering Associates has added Thomas M. Sloot as principal and Southwest regional manager in the Phoenix office. Sloot has more than 30 years of experience in planning, engineering, entitlement, permitting and construction management of large mixed-use real estate developments.
E. Chris Cambridge has joined the Phoenix office of Burns & McDonnell as engineering manager for the firm’s energy group. Cambridge has more than 20 years of construction experience, mostly in power generation. In his new position, Cambridge will leverage previous consulting engineering, utility engineering, utility operations and sales experience to mentor teams focused on supporting utility clients in the Southwest.
